Effective Leader and Leadership.

I read and experience enough about leader and leadership style. Reviews of the leadership literature state that scholars do not sufficiently agree on the definition of leadership. I learnt from my parents and heard from Barak Obama to Nelson Mandela about Mahatma Gandhi. People are still respecting and remember Mr. Gandhi. I believe, Gandhian style of leadership is very useful and very effective in current economic, social and political scenario. Trust, transparency , thinking about bottom line, maintain unity and harmony, very clear about his role, goal and way of achieve goal. I believe, lot of clarity, purity and trust in Gandhi's way of working. Later we will discuss more about Gandhi and his way of working.

Now a days Leaders are rely on technologies, structures, people and use various methods & his expertise for effectiveness and success of organization. Organization success and effective begins and ends with people. Leader should be focused on coaching , training and producing effective people so the organization is effective at producing its intended outcomes on a sustainable basis. Chorus singing in perfect harmony, clarity and rhythm of voice. Organizations are most effective when harmonization and sustainability become modus operandi. Most crucial component is leadership just as no Chorus performed with out rhythm controller who is all the time guiding, directing and controlling rhythm of Chorus. The degree of effective leadership directly impacts organization effectiveness. One of the most challenge strategic alignment of human capital , process, resources, technologies. ( Like Chorus song ) When his happens. Production is at its peak.

I have been observed following practices of effective leadership .

Hiring and developing people who are naturally confident, optimistic, resourceful and self reliant but know how to work as a team to overcome obstacles

Leaders must have a personal touch. Connecting with individuals and what matters to them, is at the heart of engagement.

Engaging every individual as a partner. Mr. Gandhi established very result oriented Organization called TLA based on paternity principle .

Ensure highly engaged workforce in place and every one is compelled to behave as leaders by taking initiative, being creative and continuously learning and improving.

Effective leadership partly determine by personal characteristics. As I discussion earlier Trust, ethics, honesty must comprise in leader personality and characteristics.

Last but not least, effective leader should have in depth knowledge or support of social and human sciences. Most of trouble organizations are victim of unrecognized tricks of leaders. I would not agree with author who recognize such trick as risk taking.
